Structure of Website

One of the main elements of the website is the Forum to assist in facilitating discussion and the sharing of ideas and information amongst fencers. The Forum can also be used by fencers for ‘Help Me’ requests or enquiries in which others in the fencing community may provide advice or assistance.

In order to participate in the Forum, you will need to register by providing a valid email address and your password. Registration is free of charge.

Initially, it is the intention to have all posts moderated, although that may change over time. One aspect we would like to stress is that, as previously indicated, one purpose of the website is to promote fellowship amongst fencers and the moderator will not hesitate to lock down any forum discussion that becomes abusive or hostile. Please ensure you refer to the Forum Etiquette Protocol.

Where possible, when a thread for a particular topic has concluded, the administrators will prepare a précis of issues and/or a summary of any outcomes emanating from the posts.

The other main element of the website is providing information and news of general interest to fencers. Contributions from people who are interested in fencing or believe they can contribute information which would be of interest to the fencing community are welcome and encouraged. The website can only work at its best when people share information.

·         Advice and information on financial grants for overseas fencing competitions

·         Sponsorship and advertising promotional opportunities

Finally, another important element of the website is the opportunity afforded to regular participants to develop their own blog.
